LUNG SLUG was coughed up onto the Toronto music scene in the fall of 1990. Despite infrequent and sparsely attended gigs, in a very short time they succeeded in failing to establish a fiercely loyal following among their long-suffering circle of friends. The lineup included Yawn Temiseva on guitar and vocals, Dan Small on bass, guitar and vocals, Ian Esquivel on drums (later replaced by Phil Grove), and guest appearances by Paul Shikata and Al Kelso. During their brief existence, they managed to release two cassettes, "Greatest Hits" (1991) and "The Very Rest of Lung Slug" (1993).
