Born in Finland and raised in Toronto, Yawn is both a musician and a visual artist. A self-proclaimed pessimist, he observes his world with understated humour. A lover of words and a two-time spelling-bee champion, Yawn’s imagination is often sparked by overheard words and phrases.
His lyrics have reached Finland, where they were used in two songs on a CD by the English-singing Finnish band Honey B. and the T-Bones. Yawn has written, performed and recorded his own music as the lead singer and songwriter of Lung Slug and, more recently, as a member of Normal For Once.
